Elite Catchers Training with Red Sox Catcher Jayson Hernandez

The NJ Marlins presents the Elite Catching Camp with Red Sox catcher Jayson Hernandez.  The clinic will be held the following dates –

Session 1: (8 sessions, 1.5 Hr each session) 415pm-5:45pm – Dec 2nd, 4th, 6th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 18th & 20th

Session 2: (8 sessions, 1.5 Hr each session) 415pm-5:45pm – January 7th, 10th, 14th, 17th, 21st, 24th, 28th, 31st

This is a 12 hour instructional specialty camp for catchers who are serious about their future in baseball.  Catchers will go through intense physical and mental training.  The focus of this camp will be to develop a routine that emphasizes Consistent Correct Repetitions (CCR).  Players will learn the fundamentals of receiving, blocking, throwing, and an agility development program to improve your overall defensive skill-set. 

Equipment – Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment: running shoes or turf shoes, mask, helmet, chest protector, shin guards, glove & all protective gear.
 
We expect this camp to sell out quickly. No walk-ins will be accepted. 

Jayson Hernandez – Catching/Hitting Instructor Hernandez was a three-year varsity letter winner at St. Rose High School in Belmar two-time All-Shore selection, also garnering Third Team accolades as a junior. Hernandez was ranked the 177th best high school prospect by Baseball America following 2006 season. Hernandez played college ball for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights before being drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 2010. Hernandez is known for his very strong Defensive abilities behind the plate throwing out 69 would be base stealers in his last 3 years of Pro ball and totaled 41 pickoffs in his three-year career at Rutgers.

Brandon Coluccio was a 3 year varsity starter at Freehold Twp. HS and is currently the starting catcher at UMBC.  Brandon will be helping out as a college clinician.
 
As the baseball season approaches its now that time to start getting ready. This is a can’t miss camp.  It’s time to take your game to the next level. Pre-Registration is required.

Location: The Robbinsville Fieldhouse is an indoor Field Turf facility located in Robbinsville, NJ. Conveniently located just off of exit 7A on the New Jersey Turnpike & Rt 195 west.  The inside dimensions are 150’ x 300’ for a total of 45,000 sq ft of open turf.  This allows for all players to work out on regulation size fields. The facility is temperature controlled.
